February 10, 2021

The Big Picture

BeefLedger Ltd has joined forces with Carne Hereford S.A (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Australasia (Guangzhou) Food Co. Ltd to credential exports and enable growth of Argentinian premium beef exports into the China market.

Argentinian premium Hereford beef is destined for China with tracking on the BeefLedger blockchain and distribution online and offline.

The three companies have executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will see a preliminary trial shipment of premium Argentinian beef exported to Shenzhen, through its premium brand Aliarg.

The MOU aims to enable Chinese consumers to access high quality products from Argentina, with the security of authentication and tracking on BeefLedger’s blockchain technology. Demand for imported beef in China continues to rise, and South American producers have been progressively increasing their footprint in the market during 2020.

The collaboration between the parties is a sign of confidence in the China market and shows a shared commitment to utilising leading edge technologies to sustain and grow value.
