Delivering better trade outcome with China
In May, Director Charles Turner-Morris joined a cross-section of industry peers to participate on a panel about agtech, hosted by the Australia China Business Association (QLD). The day-Long event, in Brisbane, saw technologists (like ourselves) exchange views and knowledge with those in finance, imports / exports and sales distribution.
Charles also recently joined a network of passionate professionals from the China and Australia sides for discussions on developing a cooperative approach to supporting SME exports into the China market.
This meeting involved representatives from AustCham (South China), brought to our offices in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane by Guangzhou-based market advisor Mike Harding.
Other experts in cross-cultural corporate communications, WeChat marketing, Daigou distribution and such like assembled for a day-long workshop on how best to harness the assembled expertise to provide aspiring exporters with a one-stop-shop.
Regional Economic Development Conference
Just as Charles focused his efforts on strengthening and improving trade with China, Warwick Powell was a presenter and master class facilitator at the South Australian Regional Development Australia Conference.
Warwick spoke about the role of technologies like blockchain in delivering on aspirations for 21st century regional resilience and prosperity. The master class touched on a host of themes around the role of food and leisure as pivotal elements in regional vitality.
He drew attention to the work of the Food Agility Cooperative Research Centre and BeefLedger’s role as a founding industry partner in mobilising digital technologies to promote long-run, sustainable wealth creation in regional communities.
The opportunity to establish a “direct line” from regional Australia to the growing markets of China also caught the attention of delegates. BeefLedger has already executed a number of Collaboration MOUs with regions in varying parts of Australia and looks forward to working with other regions to support the creation and realisation of blockchain-enables regional provenance value creation.
