Food Agility CRC Design Workshop Completed
BeefLedger completed its second Design Workshop with the Food Agility Cooperative Research Centre (FA CRC). The FA CRC is a $150m initiative funded by the Australian Commonwealth Government to promote the application of digital technologies to improving national agribusiness competitiveness and sustainability.
BeefLedger is a Founding Industry Partner of the FA CRC. The Workshop is part of FA CRC’s funding application process. An Exports Smart Contracts project scope is now being finalised with industry and research partners to take forward for funding.
BEEF Digital Token Minted
The BEEF Digital Token was minted on 30 June 2018 – on schedule. The pre-sale has seen 30% of total Tokens taken up, with approximately 16% to be distributed on Day 1. These tokens have now been distributed. The remaining 14% Tokens are Restricted Tokens. Distribution of Restricted Tokens will begin shortly to partners in limited issue.
The company will retain 30% of all Tokens as a Liquidity Reserve for the future. The final 40% of un-issued Tokens will be released as the ecosystem requires additional liquidity.
Wagyu Shipment to China – Partnering Opportunities with Wine Exporters
BeefLedger is planning to ship its first shipment of premium Wagyu beef to China in late October 2018. The shipment will be 3,000kg of premium beef, pre-packaged in secure state-of-the-art 3kg and 5kg consumer packages.
We are now in discussions with wine producers and importers to explore opportunities to partner for special events and collaborative distribution in Shanghai and nearby markets.
Collaboration Research and Development Agreement with Queensland University of Technology
BeefLedger has signed an R&D Agreement with Queensland University of Technology (QUT). The R&D Agreement focuses on QUT’s experience and expertise in blockchain technologies and their application to business conditions, and to opportunities to collaborate with researchers on world’s best practice in computer-human interface.
